"Moo! Baaa! Quack quack! Gobble gobble! Buckawck!" The wonderful sounds of the animals at the San Mateo County Fair! It is really fun to Enter Your Animals and Craft Projects because you can see how the judges evaluate your work. In Sequoia Hall (the small animal barn)and the livestock barn (large animals)you can go around and View All of the Other 4Her's Animals (click here to see them) that they have spent time and money on to raise. In Redwood Hall (Jr. Exhibits/ agriculture) you will get new ideas for fun crafts and see how well the fruits and vegetables were grown, and see all of the wonderful treats and preserves that exhibitors have made. Also you Get to Meet People from Other 4H Clubs in the San Mateo County.

Some activities you can do with your animals is have them judged on Kid's Day in the Animal Judging Contest (that is where the animals are judged by children) and another thing you may compete in is Showmanship (where you show your animal).

In addition to the many extra activities you can do with your animals you can Make Things in Redwood Hall with some of the project leaders and people who would like to teach kids how to make a craft. You get to make a project and take it home.

You can also Help With the 4H Cake Booth and sell beverages and food to the many people that go to the fair. As you can see there are many fun things you can do at thefair that are involved with 4H.
